Angry computer flashed!

I went to the dealer in Toronto to have a code read by their scanner, this was the only option given by my tuner. Something simple has turned into a nightmare, they flashed the computer.

I told them 3 times to just read the code and call me! Yes they called me after some snot nosed kid tried out his new required talients on my truck!

I have a SCT programmer on a /99, the computer won't allow the tuner to be read. What can be done besides getting another box and downloading the info and sending it away to SCT to get the codes unlocked?

I wonder why somedays we have crap for brains for believing in a dealers can carry out a simple task like reading a code. The good news is it's all my fault for bringing the truck there in the first place with a program installed in the computer! Even they know that that the shop that they send all their mustangs to get programs installed.

I must be missing something here, because I just don't get it somedays. Parking my 20ton scrap truck in their show room has entered my sick thought pattern. So this can be a $500 fix - $50 from Heritage Ford and a thank you goes out to them for the offer, even though they screwed the thing in the first place!!

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem.

does the truck run??? is it just that the sct cannot load the tune? cause i think handheld can be reconfigured to be able to work with the reflash

The truck runs but stalls at the lights the idle is to low now. I"ve parked it until the tuner is sent away.

If the truck dies at idle and idles too low then........

I'd suspect the idle air bypass module/solinoid. This little guy is responsible for making the truck idle. Might want to remove it, clean it, and put it back on. Sometimes they become stuck. Alternatively, they are typically cheap and replacement no big deal, I imagine the part is shared with many Fords.
