kooks header install

I have a buddys truck here at the house doing a header install for him. The problem is i cant get the pass in place. I have tried under over through the fender well nothing works just jams up. Now i have the same set off kooks LT's on my truck and they went on from under with no problems. What gives? any tips on getting em in there?

Someone last week mentioned in a post that the inner fender well had to come out, but it sounds like you already did that ?

i have kooks, i did the install. it was alot easier then it looks. once you take the plastic inner fender well and tires off, its right infront of you.

i got mine from jdm, very nice price for the WHOLE kit. plus if you run into any problems they are VERY easy to get a hold of

It goes in from the wheel well. You have to roll it into place. Don't forget to put the bottom bolts in as some are impossible once the header is in.

Like dirtchicken said, the pass side goes in from the top. If you remove the bolt from the wiring harness over there and push it toward the back it will give you alot more clearance.

Turn the header at a 90 to the motor, put the collector end in and then move it toward the back of the truck while twisting the header in place, that's about how mine went it. I struggled with it for a while and then all of a sudden it just fit.

I did mine a couple of months ago. It DOES go through the top, NOT the bottom. Like the last guy said you have to roll it. It will work. Go cool off and try it again. Trust me, I spent more time dealing with this than anything else.

Just make sure you get those collector connections tight.
