SCCA Results from 11/14
The following link is from the SCCA event that I attended in Bedford, Texas on 11/14/99. Although this course was not set up very well for the Lightning (Solo II), it still was competitive in the novice (read beginner)class. Most guys seem to be more interested in the straight line speed of the Lightning, but it handles amazingly well for a 4700 pound vehicle.

Next year I am planning on entering a few Solo I events which are typically higher speed courses and should be better suited for the Lightning.
------------------
1999 Black Roush-Lowered Lightning - w/Super Chip (YEEEOW!), JBA Headers, F-1 Cobra hood, Power Surge air kit, CD Changer, Towing Package,Grey Rhino, clear corner lenses.

Yoda
SCCA doesn't require any radical changes to a vehicle that runs in the stock class. I have only added the modifications that are in my signature. The Lightning has excellent brakes and I will probably go through the stock pads pretty quickly, but that's it. I might consider a 5-point harness because it is pretty violent inside the truck when traveling through slaloms etc...

Hey Sixpipes, besides the lowering of your Lightning what exactly else have you done to your "L" to get it into SCCA racing??? Did you put on high perf brake pads, racing seat betl harness, etc....?
