L vs. porsche

Hey guys...my cousin just finally got his 77 911 porsche going after alot of work...he has got a 3.6 320 hp motor( in back) and the car weighs about 2500 IBS and i did get a chance to ride in it ...pretty sweet!....it is also a five speed....my uncle however was saying how it had to be soooo fast because it was so light with that kind of power in it.....and my brother with his bone stock 2000 L was given him **** and stuff and he knows he would smoke his L while its stock but i told my uncle...id bet him if my brother put 2K into his motor alone his truck could keep up with that porsche if not pass it....what do you guys all think? am i right or wrong...i have a pretty good idea of how easily the L's can be tuned up....i would guess his porsche to be in low 12's maybe 11's.....and of course if my brother did put the money into his truck i beleive it would have a best advantage in the 1/8 mile.....what do you guys think?
thanks
here is pics of my brothers L and i will try to get the pic of the porsche on here

Probably would need more than 2k. 2500#'s with 320 hp = really fast.
2k might get you deep into the 12's but I think that thing might go into the deep 11's?? Not up to putting all the info to a ET calculator.

for 2k yes you can take him in the 1/4..... for 1 pass. You're going to need a built motor or a turbo setup like frank5L's to romp on that thing. But yes if you would stand a chance it would be in the 1/8th mile....

Is the porsche motor rated at 320hp or is that what it put to the wheels? If thats what the rating is or what it made on the engine dyno it won't be near as fast as you think.

Bc it might put out 320 at the crank but that dont mean crap after tranny and driveline. also just bc something says it'll b 320 dont mean it will be, too many factors, build quality, parts quality etc....

no hope for the lighting.....rear engine favers acceleration, less power loss to rear wheels, also the 911 is less lbs and cut's threw the air better...if you have to pump up a stock L with 2 grand of mods, that pretty much says the porsh is quicker...

ok lonnie i said on the first thread that i knew he would smoke the L right now cuz the L is bone stock right now....also...he most likely has over 80K into his porsche(it was his project) so thats why i said if he put 2k into his L where would he stand...because i thought he may keep up with him...
