Talking Cool Weather

Morning everybody,

I was wondering, especially from you Northern guys, how much you think the cooler weather really affects our performance? When I got my truck this summer, it was in the 90's forever and is just now turning cold (for the South). I noticed a difference when the temp. dropped to 60's or so but haven't noticed much more now that it is in the 30's at night. Is there a point of diminishing returns in regard to lower temp. making the blower more effecient? Just wondering....btw, I have Sal's filter kit and Superchip in stock position most of the time.

Later,

Collin

Wink

The chip has a stock position ???

Seriously, I have a problem putting it all down when it gets cool. When it is below 5 C the tires are harder and probably the engine is making more than the road can take.

Collin,
From a straight engineering point of view, the cooler the better (oxygen density). However, I live in Tx and the colder weather lately has also brought higher humidity, maybe that is why you do not notice as much of a perf. difference now...
The temp this morning was about 20 with low humidity and my truck was running like a scalded ape...

Maybe I should park the Ranger 4x4 and drive the Lightning in the morning then. I love it when its cool you can really feel the difference.
