Talking Oh boy, new mods...

Modest ones, but I am excited as heck about my new updates.
Not sure that they will do all that much in the hp and tq department but we shall see...

Anyhow, got an Accufab throttle body(polished too...weeee) and a 2.8 upper pulley(JDM interchangeable type).
Both items are used and I got them for a very decent price.

To be on the safe side, I figured a new tune was in order for these two pieces so I went and got the sct xcal2 flasher
and next Friday the L will be put on the dyno, at Da Silva Racing near Toronto, and tuned with 3 new programs.
Going to get the plugs changed out also, with new gapping.

Couple of questions...
What Is the boost for a 2.8 upper. From what I have read, seems to be 1-2 lbs. Is this correct?
I have also read that bigger idler pullies could be necessary to reduce slippage when using smaller upper pullies.
I plan on using a stock belt, as I have a 4lb lower. The little tab on the tensioner is broken off so I was always able to use
a stock length belt.
Do you think I will still need bigger idlers?

As for plug gap..what do you guys think ? .036, .038 ?? I really have no idea. Da Silva is suggesting .036

Man oh man I can't wait. I figure, at my current rate of mod buying, I should have an 11 second truck, in about ten years or so.

Wow nice counter and tile work Bro

What was this post about again, hehehe

Yes the 2.8, well some will tell you 1lb, others 2, and even some claim to see 3. When I ran the 4lb Lower and 2.8 Upper, 15lbs of Boost was never a prob on the Ported Eaton.

Now gap that there's a loaded question, I use to run a very large gap for the 4 only, as large as .038 - .040, but as I started to use N20 and get higher in boost, the 2.8 and WASP, I started trying smaller gapping like .034 and .036

Now a days since I'm a "GOT BOOST" nut, I am actually down to .028 gapping.
AND TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR FELT A DIFFERENCE
with ANY of the gap diff's from .028-.040, nor have I ever experienced Spark Blow Out, or hi RPM miss fires.
I'd say .034 - .036 is perfect, (dont put too much thought into it, believe me)

As for belt, WOW on still using the Stocker Me I'm a gatorback nut,
have like 6 of them but you WILL NOT have to make a change when you add the 2.8.

CONGRATS BRO AND BEST OF LUCK WIH THE MODS AND UPCOMING DYNO
