Checking my Coils and.....

I found something very interesting,
So far I checked 6 and all are well, BUT the last one of the drivers side
OF COURSE (&*@$^%(*&@$%(*@$%(@$^%@($*%@($^
Has something wedged down in the Spark Plug Hole (@&$%@*($%@($
And I cant get the coil back on now, "nor the Plug out" (cant get a socket on the plug.

It's a MF to look and get down there, but I'll be dipped in schitt if it doesnt look like something metal, like a small nut
OR SOMETHING ???

I've been trying to get it out for a while out there now, and will obviously have to keep on it till I do, but WOW if it is metal that could be creating some form of an intermittant problem couldn't it....

TG I just got it out after an hour of sweating bullets out there

BINGO, YOU GUESSED IT

And now that I did a re-count,
I do notice that I only HAD 7 of the original 8

Of course the million dollar question is, WHERE'S THE METAL PIECE ???
I did not remove the plug, because I DONT want to find out the hard way right now. (I'll leave that for you one night, hehehehehe)

THOSE FK-ING POS CONNECTORS ARE GOING TO BE THE DEATH OF ME AND MY L YET $@&*(^$@(*$%(@$%(@$%@$@%$@$@$^%@($%@$@$

Give me a few minutes to check the last 2, and I'm on my way....

Rob,

Hey, good find!!

Use a wet/dry vac to try and suck any remaining debris out of the plug hole.

Looks like you are on the road to back in the saddle 100%!!

Good job...

Rob, try poking around with a telescoping magnet and see if you can find that piece.

Man, that Plasma Booster is going to be the death of you.

That could definitely cause your intermittant miss. If the boot wasn't on all the way, it will spark jump to the head. We had a similar issue with Mike Dunn when I was tuning in CA last year. His truck was down on power and had a weird miss. We found one of the screw on plug tips lodged down in a plug hole. Must have been sitting in his manifold and then dropped down during his last plug change. Took me like an hour to get it out (it was brass).

Those plasma boosters just keep giving. LOL. Try one of the clips and see if it's magnetic. If it is start fishing. If not a little contact cement on the end of a flexible piece of tubing (or just about anything flexible) and start fishing. Vacuum is a good idea as well. Keep in mind it might not even be in there. Pull one of the other clips out and see if it's even small enough to fit in the plug hole. If not pull the plug.

I looked very hard and used a bend piece of thick steel wire and went round and round and round and round (and well you get the pic) the plug and it appears to NOT be down there, woo hoo TG.

But as Sal said if it was holding the Coil from sitting (or making a FULL connection) WHICH IT WAS, there is DEF a good chance this could be JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR

SO I went to Sal and he was kind enough to take a break from Marks Motor Swap (LOOKING GOOD MARK ) (sorry Pal, hehehehe). He checked the Short and Long Term Fuel Trim and made a few adjustments. He then took it out for a ride, A NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE RIDE ; o ), even took it on the streets and did a little Data Logging, ALL LOOKED PERFECT.

Weird the way he came back with dead animals stuck to my rear tires and a heavy smell of rubber though

THANKS SAL the Truck is truly running amazing. Tire ripping low end TQ and the response is beter than ever. THANKS Pal. Drove it home and it was perfect, we'll give another week of daily driving and hope for the best......

As long as Sal is betting Andy's parts, it's all good...
