Cool Colors

No bias opinions guys, but what really is the best looking color on this truck. Is anyone who got the 99.5 lightning mad that silver is offered onthe 2000. Is that the color to go with?

Nate, My first choice was red, until I saw one in person; too overstated and attention-grabbing for this bodystyle. It doesn't need to be red. I then found a dealer with a white and black, and made a side by side comparison. At first, since I love black vehicles, the choice seemed to be made. But as each minute ticked by, I couldn't take my eyes off of what would eventually become my White Lightning. The bodycurves show up so much better in white; the color is naturally understated, saying neither "look at me" or "I'm a bada$$". It's the clean, confidant color, and also the FAST color. It became an easy choice.

Nate

Of course the white Lightning is the fastest and rarest of all the Lightnings. They made fewer white Lightnings than other two colors.

I have had alot of cars-trucks,you can always win a show with RED. I had a sweet mustang(white)and it would always take second place to a red one.

I think Black is the best. Had a red one come into shop I work at. I wanted red. But did not order, just walked in at right time to scoop off of show room floor. Anyway the red makes the wheels look small (over dominates).White is better. But wheels stand out better on BLACK. Just my .02cents worth

Black is definitely the hardest to maintain, I've had mine since August and am already planning to take it in for little scratches and nicks from people who "park and run" if you know what I mean. Even the littlest scratch can become very annoying.

But I also use the California Duster and I must say with about 10 minutes of easy dusting every day you can never outshine a black lightning.

Brimstone,

I own a black car, motorcycle and truck, so my California Duster gets a real workout. In fact, I just wore out my old one (handle broke) and bought a new one today.

I drive my L every day and, if it doesn't rain, I can go two weeks between washings by just "dusting" the beast for a few minutes every other day or so and washing only the wheels on Saturdays. It's great!

I origionaly ordered RED but changed to SILVER. During the 3 days following my order of red I constantly noticed Silver Vettes, Mustangs, ect. The deciding factor was when I seen a RED F-150 4x4 and a SILVER F-150 4x4 next to each other. I imediatly called FORD and changed my order to SILVER. White looks good and is a forgiving color when it comes to scratches in the pait. Black is Beautiful but very high maintainence and it will make the slightest imperfection into an eye sore. My vote is for Silver.

Sweet collection HIPO, I am green with envy. I agree with your advice. I was looking at black, but I just became aware of silver being the 4th color. I have had two silver cars in the past and I may have three, I will have to see what I can find. Thanks again.
