Received Bassani Exhaust
Due to the excellent prices Sal (Power Surge Performance) offered I just took delivery of a
full Bassani system for my '00 L. Yeah I know, I have a complete beautiful system for a truck I don't even own. So, I can't report on anything that relates to performance or installation just yet. I can tell you the following:
1) Whoever packed this thing is a genius, 3 boxes bulletproofed to make it through all the UPS on and off trucks etc. I could probably drop it from the roof of my house and nothing
would move or break.
2) The gaskets that came with it are Ford standard and not the SS Comp ones advertised and shown in the installation instructions, I would like the SS Comp ones since I read so
much on the Bassani web page about their superiority. Sal, any suggestions?
3) The header instructions are a bit different as compared to the Truckin' article.
Step 7 says "cut the passenger side upper shock mount" I think this means only the upper
stud on the shock itself...won't know till I get there next year!
For now this system will sit neatly boxed in the garage right next the to clear cornering lenses.
Getting real itchy waiting...

To help you save garage space, I will happily store your exhaust system until you get your truck. However, it may not be boxed quite as neatly or look exactly the same when you get it back.
