Superchip & FTVB

When I purchased my 2002 L last year it came with a Superchips blue chip. I removed it for regular street driving, but have used it a few times when I go to the track. It definetly improves shift firmness and speed. I was not going to use the chip now that I installed the FTVB, but I was curious if anyone else is using these 2 parts together. I am worried the chip turns off the factory torque reduction software and combined with the new accumulator it would be too much for the stock tranny. Does anyone know for sure? I called Superchips last year and they couldn't tell me.

I used a Superchip with firmer shifts and a FTVB, and my truck shifted WAY too hard.

I think the chip turns torque reduction off. Check with Mike Troyer in the chips and programming section of this forum to be sure.

Your best bet would be to get a custom tune and leave the torque reduction turned on.
