Lightning Accessories
Lightning Accessories
Hi there, again, Now that im possitive on getting a lightning, have my self a job, and found one for a great deal, Im gonna start thinking about other fun things to get for it. I dont want to make it go any faster than it already can, becuase 380 horse power is more than I'll ever need. I was thinking more along the lines of cosmetic items.
I know for a fact im going to get a center console, bed-rug liner, and possibly a hard cover for the bed. It comes with a soft top, so im not sure what I'll be lugging with it since I have little cabin space. I may need to take bikes with me, so a hard top might not be good.
Anyways, are there any interior "dress up" items I guess there called, that you think are worth looking at. Its a brand new 04', well not brand new, 11,000 miles on it, so the interior is bassicly in mint shape.
I dont know exactly what im looking for, but just tell me some fun things you got for your lightnings to make it look cool. Pictures wont hurt either
Thanks,
Sean

A roll pan (new rear bumper) cleans up the truck alot (see my signature pic). I also have a set of grillcraft grills I'm about to put in, do a search on "grills" and you will find a bunch of pictures of different grills. Lowering the truck will make it look 100% better IMO. I also like the look of the solid rear windows instead of the sliders ( also see my signature pic). A catback with big, polished tips looks good, or you may be able to just find the exhaust tips. Wheels always dress up the truck, theres a few ideas to start. good luck, have fun.
That site is really cool, thanks for that link. Im trying to decide what my goals are for this truck, as far as how much money I want to invest in it and how long I want to keep it for. And its giving me a head ache, I absolutely love the lightning, everything about it. It makes me almost not want to buy one knowing that one day it'll have to go. I have an off topic question, say 10 years down the road, my lightning just goes. I can have the engine rebuilt and everything else rebuilt on it correct? So I would essentially restore it back to what I had it. And I hate having to think like this but I do.
Anyways, for my parts and things. Im pretty sure im going to get the following.
-Center Console
-Bed-Rug
-Neon Lighting (still thinking about it)
And smaller priced items, such as floor mats, dash "dress up" kits. I want to keep the car pretty much stock except for personal touch's. I would do rims, but considering I work part time at drug world, and I have to pay half the car paymeant and gas, I think my total free money after that was like 150 dollars a month. So it would take me almost a year to save for rims.
I think instead im gonna take that 150 dollars a month and put it in the bank and save it up for something else. Maybe another truck lol. The F100 Is really cool looking, some of the restored one's. I would get one istead of the lightning, but I cant drive a collectors car like that to school you know?
I have way to much time on my hands...I need to get more hours in at drug world. :o
Thanks,
Sean
