wierd sound from drivers side of engine

when the L is warmed up, theres a weird high pitch sound on the drivers side of either the supercharger drive or the accessory drive belt. its really annoying sitting at an intersection at idle and hearing that, anyone know what it is?

sounds like a idler pulley, pull the supercharger belt off and check to make sure the pulleys spin freely

if the bearing is going bad no, it'll either make more noise, or fail and lock up eventially, if that is truely is the problem.

no, I meant that you need to pull the belt to check if the pulleys are not spinning freely, if they are truely bad bearings the pulley needs to be replaced.

The sound that you are describing is almost certainly Gatorback belt noise...

mine sounds kinda like alternator whine from a poorly wired stereo/radio.

it's been there since I installed the 6lber and I haven't had any problems... it goes away with the belt off.

gatorback belts are a little noisier, but they definitely are not "crappy".

much better than the stock belt, IMO.
