Well Yesterday I decided to...

Paint My Stock grilles black. I think it came out Great. Its a great mod for black and I think it would great on silver as well. Def a cheap alternative to billet grilles, and a good way to kill a beautiful day. What you guys think ??

just regular automotive spray paint from autobarn. I took some sandpaper, and lightly scuffed everything up, then sprayed down a good layer of primer. Sanded that lightly, and then sprayed on MANY thin coats of paint with a light wet sand between everyone. cleaned it all up and washed and waxed it.

I debated on doing exactly that while I was washing my truck today. I looked at a billet grille in black to install on my truck but while shopping for performance parts saving the $ and doing that looks like a great option!

All I see is a little red X from my work computer, but I did my 00 grilles that way a few years ago. Much harder to paint the honeycomb, but results are probably the same. Very nice, but subtle mod.
