wtf is with some businesses

Last year I had 20% tint put on my L's side windows. This past month I had it pulled for 5% all around. Few days later on the drivers door I noticed all kinds of **** under the tint so I took it back and they redid it. This time there was even more **** under the tint which lead to today getting it redone again.

So they do the tint and I notice they left water trails all along the door so I went up to autozone to grab some quick detailer. I start wiping it down in the parking lot when I notice a huge scratch in the tint. There is one about 5" long and 2 others about 1" long. So I go back and tell them.

Guy comes out and looks at it then says brb to go talk to the tinter. He comes back out and says yea thats a scratch in the glass he saw that before. I said thats bull**** that wasnt there before. I have had that window tinted 3 times in the past month and a year before that and that **** was NOT there. He told me I have to talk to the manager again on Monday. I am pissed and those mother****ers will be buying me a new window.

here's a pic of the scratch. It's going to the left towards the bottom of the camera. Does anyone know how much a new window from Ford costs?

How did they possibly scratch the glass except purposely? its pretty hard to scratch the glass unless you do it intentionally. That sucks, hope you work it out.

It sucks I know. My fiances new car has a nice scratch above the door handle from a valet. My friends front bumper was scraped and covered in yellow paint from a valet once. I'm sure you can guess neither of the valets took responsibilty and the run around with manager just lead to more irritation and our cars not being fixed.

Hope you have better luck!

When i had my windows tinted the guy melted the piece of plastic on the outside corner of my window, it's the "L" shaped piece. I guess he did it with the heat gun, i went back and told them about it and they paid for a new one. These places hire people that don't know jack about vehicles, straight from McDonalds to messing up your truck.

DAMN!!!!!

I would NEVER let anyone drive any of my vehicles especially a valet. Hell I get paranoid if someone stands to close to my truck. I thought about coming up with a type of alarm system or warning.

Something that is like 200 decibels loud and when someone comes within 10 feet of the L it states ”Get the F away from the truck you moron”

Went to the tint shop this morning and the tint guy was at the counter. He said he was sorry about the scratch and it was an accident. He said the manager would take care of it. So manager came in and went out to look at it then said he will have a new window put in. Thats being done tomorrow morning. Hopefully that goes well.

they did not use a stainless blade.
i once asked my tint guy to be careful with my windows as i watched him run the blade all over the window.
he said it was next to impossible to scratch the glass with a stainless blade and continued to run the blade up and down and all around my window just to prove it to me.
they must have either used cheap blades or alot alot of pressure.
