i was reading some articles and they say it adds 165hp to the lightning.so adding this does that mean it goes from 360(2004 model) to 525 just by that alone..because im think by removing the KB your taking some horsepower away then whatever your left you add the 165 once adding the whipple to your lightning?

I think the 2004 model was rated at 380.
You do know that that the 380 Hp was with a stock Eaton and not a KB.
that was uncalled for. Chicken is right, less than a handful were made. It does not look promising to get any in the future.

 

What the hell was wrong with the answer "you can't get one"? The name newbie really suits you. Aside from all joking, there are several that got released. Do we know if the make what they clam? NO one has dyno'd theirs yet. I doubt it makes that much though. I do know that my KB made 432 rwhp with only 9 pounds of boost!

Ironically, only a handful of Works blowers were produced. Sal Had one, Dale01 has one and is almost running 9's.

The 165 HP depends on if you get the 3 Ply blower or the 2 Ply Cotton-Fresh version. I believe the 165HP claim is from the 3-Ply version though.



Dirtchicken was just voicing what 95+% of the people on these boards think. It's a great addition to the Lightning aftermarket, but only TWO people have gotten them after almost 5 months of "it's 2 weeks out". You can undertsand our disgust.
