Bassani article in Truckin'
I know some of you guys have shown an interest in their complete system.Check out the new Truckin' magazine.About a 5-page story with installation pictures, article and dyno comparison before/after.I didn't look at every rpm,but looked like peak numbers increased about 20-ftlbs,and 28-hp.Picture showed the ceramic coated headers, new high flow converters(only one pair),x-pipe,dual mufflers and tips.It had it all.Not a very big gain for the money, but considering how much power their putting out already (lightning motor),it's probably hard to get much more.It looked like the power came in the right places too.Low rpm torque gains with higher rpm horsepower gains.I'd say probably worth the money seeing how it's designed as a system-not just a trial and error muffler change.
Only one question.I've always heard that convertors could only LEGALLY be replaced after 50-thousand miles,or if they fail.If they fail, you are required to find out the REASON they failed. So how can Bassani sell them? Also,we Fords have 4-converters.The first two I believe are referred to as "ignitors" to start the process and get the temperatures up for the second pair.So how will the process now differ using only two?By the way,I have installed super-high-flows and headers on a late model vehicle before and noticed good gains and a difference in sound. This system ought to sound pretty darn good.Just thought I'd pass this on.

Thanks for the heads up, great info.
I am having to buy my Bassani pieces one at a time for now, starting with the ceramic coated headers. As I add each piece, I will report what, if any, gains I can show.
As to the rest of your questions, I'll have to defer to Sal or one of the others who know more about exhaust systems.
Thanks again,
