Possible '93 L purchase....

Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted. While I'm very familair with Ford mods (Just sold my 10 second street mustang) I'm not familiar with 1st Gen L's. I may be purchasing one soon, and this will be a daily driven truck, but I would like it to see mid 12's N/A, while keeping A/C. How extensive would this be? I know these are a little heavier with what I've been working with, but I figure you guys are the doctors that will know for sure.

I was thinking a H/C/I, but then questioned the intake. Will the GT-40 run out okay N/A? I could go on with the questions on set ups, but I'll leave you guys to it with the basics to get one of these gems down the track well while keeping her street friendly.

Thanks in advance,

Dustin

treat the motor like you would the mustang motor, what makes a stang go fast will make the truck go fast

What do these beasts use for traction goodies? Leaf springs are greek to me. Ladder bars only? Again, don't want a drag only set up, i.e. 90/10's 50/50's but somthing that will be respectable.

One more ignorant question, were these trucks Speed Density, or MAF vehicles?

Thanks again,

Dustin

No offense to the f150online folks, they run a fine board. But, most of us are gen 2 owners. You might be better off checking out this gen 1 board for more in depth answers.

something tells me fromthe factory they were SD but that is an easy switch just like for the foxbodys
you can use t-bars just like us gen 2 guys
i guess its kinda like half a ladder bar setup
if you search for traction bars i bet there are a bunch of pics showing them on the gen 2's
