Help!

On my way to work yesterday I noticed a small problem with my 99. The drivers side window doesnt work!! I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and what they had to do to fix it. I can hear the motor clicking but still no movement. I called the local Ford dealer and they said it was a $300 fix!! I hope thats not true. If anyone has any suggestion please post.

Thanks.
Brutis

Just happened on my Ranger a couple of weeks ago. Put the window down and it would not go back up. I could hear the solenoid click but nothing. Power window motor went teats-up. Fortunately it's under warranty. If you are out of warranty hit ebay. Any F150/Expedition power window motor will work. Just make sure it is from the same door as your bad one. IE driver's side.

Try hitting the door panel with a rubber mallet and holding the window switch at the same time.

Thanks for the info, I was hoping it was just the gears, but it sound like Silver-Bolts problem. I guess I will be searching on ebay this weekend . I tried hitting (out of anger ) but that didnt work.
