Cool prototype mustang?

well since we are all wondering if the new mustangs can keep up with us, I just checked in at www.fordnews.com/fr500.htm and found that is one mustang I do not want to get into a race with....is it worth the bucks being asked for it?...remember how much we all paid for a little ol' pickup truck .

45,000 is a rip off. Put it down to 35,000 and it'll sell big time.

Pretty awesome Mustang with lots of very high tech (and consequently expensive) parts. Agree that $45K is a lot and would certainly limit its appeal, but it's considerably less than the new Cobra-R will sell for and appears to be better equiped for street use and probably just as fast (or maybe even faster).
