Battery check engine light?

Have a battery check engine light at idle only, when I rev motor it goes away. The alternator is a brand new 225 amp. Any ideas? Thanks

loose belt, bad tensioner or a broken/open 12v source wire to regulator, I believe source wire is black/orange at alt, not sure though. Have seen many source wire problems.. could also be bad alt??? If you need schematic let me know.

Check the tensioner and then check the connection orange & black wire that goes back to the fire wall and hooks to the moduel.

If you can squeez the belt together with one hand then the tensioner is bad. Let me know I have extras laying around and I owe you a favor!

Peace,

Suavy

Ive had the bat on charge for 28 hours but as soon as I took the charger off the voltage starting falling from 13.4 to 11.7 volts. With the motor running the voltage is around 13.4 volts. Ill load test the bat tomorrow, but I suspec that the optima bat may be the culprit since I broke 4 starters allready, I probably toasted it. To much cam for the starters, I guess. Thanks, Ill let you know what the outcome is.
