Airbag Light

My airbag light in the dash blinks a few tims and then stays on after the truck started. Is there a way to clear it I have 55K+ miles on the truck.

I just had this problem in my Mazda truck. The dealer ended up replacing the switch that turns off the passenger side airbag. Cost was right at $300 said and done.

Hope this helps.

Try turning the steering wheel slowly in both directions and see if the light go's out, if it does then your clock spring is broke.

It should be blinking a definite pattern, or code. Turn the truck on, watch the light pattern - it will repeat itself 2 or 3 times. After you get the code, search here and I'm sure you'll find the area you need to look.

Good luck !!

It blinks twice then it pauses a few seconds then blinks 5 more times. It repeats the sequence a few times then stays on.

This is fault code 25. "Light Flash Code (LFC) 25 DTC B1871 - Pass Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) Switch Fault". This usually indicates a bad PAD switch.

In my case, the PAD switch was unplugged from behind the trim plate when the stereo guy swapped out the head unit. I just plugged it back on and all is good.

Good to hear that it was a simple problem that was an easy fix.

F150 airbag alarm

Hope this helps. Got it out of the manual.

Determining if the system is operational
The SRS uses readiness lights in the instrument cluster and the
passenger air bag deactivate switch or a tone to indicate the condition of
the system. Refer to the Air bag readiness section in the Instrument
cluster chapter or Passenger air bag on/off switch section in this
chapter. Routine maintenance of the air bag is not required.
A difficulty with the system is indicated by one or more of the following:
• The readiness lights will either
flash or stay lit.
• The readiness lights will not
illuminate immediately after
ignition is turned on.
• A series of five beeps will be heard. The tone pattern will repeat
periodically until the problem and/or light are repaired.
If any of these things happen, even intermittently, have the SRS serviced
at your dealership or by a qualified technician immediately. Unless
serviced, the system may not function properly in the event of a
collision.

after SEVEN YEARS, I'm fairly certain your post is a lil' behind the power curve for the OP, however it may help someone in the future searching for a resolution of the same issue

Airbag code 24

I left every window down in my truck and it rained all night. Now my airbag light is blinking code 24=Safing Sensor Output Feed/Return Circuit Open. Where is this located? The truck was really wet on the dirver's side. Seat, interior doors front and back.
