my 1st time at the strip
hey guys,
after finally getting my truck back from the shop after hitting a dog and have not drove it for 5 weeks, i went to the strip for the first time with my 99 on friday.thursday night i ran it with a friends g- tech pro and ran a 13.66 @ 107mph completely stock. then i went home and put in my superchip and sal's filter and it went to 13.4 @108. hp went from 298 to 329. and really felt like a big difference. friday i ran at the new southern dragway in douglas ga. temp. about 60 degrees with a half a tank of gas. this a 1/8 mile strip its 2 hours to a 1/4 mile. any way this was the results.

that was my first pass with the truck still warm from drivin. they then had a very long clean up after that. and then the track went to crap. next two runs i knocked off a 2.02 60' times and on both runs when it hit second gear it boiled em down. on these 2nd and 3rd runs i lost 10 mph trap speed and ran 9.12 and 9.15. i feel like the truck would have done 8.60s if it hadn't have spun in second.
