Did the Injectors, Plugs, and Re-Mag'd it last night
No info to report "yet", a lot of wishful thinking though, and another post showing Rob is totally INSANE
Suppose to thunder storm all day today, Labor Day party's next weekend, Sals crazy busy, I'm crazy busy, so I came up with a wacky idea yesterday. My sons B-Day party was dieing down @ 6-ish so I get in touch with Sal and ask if I can come down and pick up the Injectors, some Plugs, the Mag, and a new tune to make it all work, he was like OK but I can only wait to 7. I get there at 7, Sal da man hangs out to at least 8, hooks me up with all I need; the Mag, the new 60lb Injectors, the new Denso IT-24's, a start up tune for the SCT, and some great tricks of the trade to install it all. I still had a stragler from the party with me, my son and off to a late dinner we went. We get home and settle in and sometime around 9-ish I decide, HEY WHY NOT GO OUTSIDE WITH A DROP LIGHT AND GO FOR IT, hehehehe So from 9:30 to 1:30 there I went, just me, the pitch dark, and the dam bugs (&@^(@$#@($&#@$^@($%(@$%@$ (oh ya and a drop light) WA LA...... http://www.robs02lightning.com/galle...20Injector.jpg http://www.robs02lightning.com/galle...20Injector.jpg A little too dark for pic's, but once again my intercooler was spotless, WOO HOO, and all went off without a hitch.... At @ 1pm I was doing the plugs and said to myself, SELF I WONDER IF ANYONE ELSE IS AS CRAZY AS US, hehehehehe.... THANK YOU SAL for staying late, allowing me to install it, (hence saving me a lot of money), and of course that awesome start tune. Purring like a kitty and sounding fine. :thumbsup: I've put my foot in my mouth and ass a hundred times recently so I can only hope and pray this is the end of the nightmare and soon I'll be making 600 HP passes..... We always said the Mag would go back on, and the time has come. Never did injectors before this but piece of Cake I tell you, as for the SC and Plugs I'd bet I'm faster than any Ford Dealership, hehehehehe Actually taking the Eaton apart, cleaning up the gaskets, re-painting it, resealing it and putting it back together is the most time comsuming part of the job. Well that and torqing those dam SC bolts with my 60's Tq Wrench :lol: Plus I'm sure it would have been a lot easier and faster had it been light out and I didnt have to deal with a light bulb's work area at a time. But 4 hours aint bad IMO BTW Wait til the bitch finds out I couldn't find the Vasoline so I had to use her Adam and Eve Motion Lotion on the injectors. Rob, I hate when you post these threads!! Now I'm going to have to wait for the results! I wish you wouldn't post until you had the results...good luck, I hope it works out well, I will have my MP + JDM motor results soon also. :rocker:

ok ok but let the record show I was very good last night and kept it to 15lbs of boost max, and I will stop by Sals as soon as he gets a minute to Dyno it once again. I PROMISE :p BTW, it was great to hear the ole Mag Whine once again, as soon as we check the AF, I'm going to get this sucker back to the track and really put it through some testing :D |
