How do you guys manage to launch from 1100-1200rpms? I launched off idle, with about 1/2-2/3 throttle, and the truck went off the line well, with no tirespin. After traveling about 2 truck lengths, I squeezed it to the floor and the tires STILL spun. I tried the same thing tonight with a friend in the car, but gave the truck a little longer before I hit it to the floor. It didn't spin in first, but when it hit second gear, it spun the tires (Briefly, and without noise, but noticeable).

Were you talking about at the track with different tires, or a lot lower tire pressure?

Oh, and for any of you who read this, do any of you live in the Richmond, VA area?

 

I live in Chesapeake. Went up to Dinwiddee at Virginia Motorsports Park to do my run. I torqued it to 1100-1200 range then took about 1/2 sec to come to full throttle.
