Question 4.10 gears and a clear diff cover

I've been hearing a lot lately about the advantages of switching to 4.10 gears, and have decided to go ahead and do it....while I am down there, I also am considering putting on a Clear Gearz diff cover. I would like to hear any thoughts about the changes in the truck's performance (how much difference will this REALLY make?) with the gear change, as well as opinions of the clear diff cover (just want to have something a little unique). BTW, I already have an FTVB, and have set the shift to a little too firm for most people. But who the **** drives the thing, them or me??

The link to the diff cover is:

Thanks for all of your input,

Steve

if you don't care much about lossing 1 or 2 mpg go for it, i hear the gears make a noticable difference. and i think the cover is badass!

Gas mileage sucks anyway......what's another 1 or 2 miles per gallon.

Mine now sits at home under the cover all week as I carpool to work......just waiting for 4.10's!!!

I am pricing the 4.10 gears for my 04 f150 with a 9.75 rear end. You can get them on ford racing for 185.00 if they are the same gears which i think they are. What prices are you seeing?
