I beleve you will find Patriot only offers one cam choice, the equivalent of a Comp Stage II. Their Stage II vs Stage III cams differentiates between stock diameter valves and 1 mm larger valves. Their price on cams (when purchased with heads) is hard to beat!

Do you need to upgrade the torque converter to a higher stall?

I'm very happy with my Comp Stage II cams! I have heads ported and polished by Patriot.

If you compare cam cards, you will find Patriots essentially identical to Comp Stage II's. I have degreed them both in.

You do not have to have a converter with Stage II cams since idle will still be low enough (700-850 rpm), but truck will of course run quicker with one, same as with stock cams. All the trucks with cams I know already had convertors, however a friend will soon have a built motor runng with stock convertor.

As noted in another string, I do not recommend Crower's any more since they would not replace my custom ground cam of MY specs (now listed by Crower as Stage III N/A) that was ground with 121 LSA on one cam rather than the 114 specified. Replaced it with a Crane of essentially same specs.
