time for more power, help needed please
Ok i have owned my truck for over a year now, at first it seemed really fast compared to my mustang, but now it just feels average. So here are my questions.....
I want to keep my truck stock looking (under the engine) it is completly stock. I dotn want to go crazy just some minor bolt ons.
Where to start? I still want to be able to drive it everyday, i still NEED it to be very reliable. I want to be able to take it on long trips..........and im somewhat on a budget? where to start and what to do? what is the best set up for me? thanks

You can go a few different ways. Usually you would go with the Chip, Filter, Pulley , Plugs route. Cost effective, completely driveable for daily use, and that extra power you are looking for. Check out our website or feel free to call me here, 732-780-0770 or www.TeamJDM.com

He's on the money, and speaking of money, save a few extra bucks and do an FTVB. I have the normal 4#/FTVB/CAI setup and I LOVE it.

A LOT of Vendors sell pulleys, and the prices do vary a decent amount,
first you need to decide if you want caged, or uncaged, fixed or interchangable.
Caged is like the stock set up, the pulley is mounted in rubber and has numerous mounting points.
Uncaged removes the factory type mounting and simply has the Pulley mount directly to the Crank/ Harmonic Balancer. It also allows inner belt changes without removing the cage (a good little feature if ever used)
Fixed is a single one piece Pulley (what ever size you decide on)
Adjustable is a Hub and outer Ring set up that allows you to change the lower ring (add or subtract Boost) by simply removing some allan bolts
(this set up is also available caged or uncaged
The cheapest way out is to just buy a uncaged fixed lower pulley
(most go that route)
Usually cost @ 225.00 - 275.00 (depending on who and what size)
Chip Cost usually @ 375.00 - 400.00 (for a Multi Chip or Programer)
since you aleady have a filter, basically it'll cost you @ 700.00 to have a 12 sec beast, or you can look around for used stuff, many sell their old pulleys and or Chips/Hand Helds to move up to something differant
