I love my L and she loves the twisties

Took the L camping this weekend. Left the 22's on. I was going to swap them out for the 18's because I was concerned with off roading. But by the time I got around to pulling my truck out of the garage for the swap it was midnight. I pulled it out, got the jack, got the wheels, the said F it, I would rather pay for a new wheel the do this right now. Glad I did because the roads were almost perfect.
I drove through some awesome twisty mountain roads. This truck really handles the turns well at high speeds.
Here is the kicker I made the trip twice this weekend!!!
Packing truck my girl goes to put her bag with everything into my cab. the truck is in the garage and it is a tight fit, I am crazy and tell her I will put it in i do not want her toscratch the truck. I take the bag and place it next to the passenger door. She says" don't leave it there you are going to forget it" Sure enough I forgot it and she did not realize to ask if I bought it until 10 minutes before we arrive at the campsite.
So I set up, start drinking, i was first to arrive, friends show up, I drink some more and pass out early. Wake up at 4:30 in the morning and leave to head back to Freeport. Sucks yes, Awesome drive definitly yes. Not a car on the road. Opening her up 100+mph on mountain roads was just amazing. No need for coffee that morning, i woke up real quick. Even missed an exit and wound up on this crazy mountain road. I was ripping on it for like 20 minutes, must have passed like 5 huge signs that clearly show I was on the wrong road, finally realized I was lost but the good part was I got to back track through that road again. 175miles each way (350 total for you math wiz) Did the trip in 5hrs 23minutes round trip and that included one $63 gas fill, one $45 gas fill, getting lost for 30 minutes, 2 bathroom stops, stop for breakfast, and a shower when I got home. I definitly put the truck to the test Saturday.
Get back, go rafting down the No Flow delaware river. Had to paddle 5 F'in miles. Get back soooo tired, i pass out. Wake up and the cops are at my site and animal control is coming to take my friends dog because some little girl rode her bike into the dog and he snapped at her. We slipped my friend and his dog out stealth like in the dark. ( i walked in front of his truck with no headlights on to the exit of the camp ground and he spilt). Animal control never showed up....The I got to do the drive out of the mountains all over again in the morning!!!
