What bothers me is all of the critics out there.......here was my current situation:

Case #1:

So.......I was talking to a guy with an silver SS at the gas station and he asked me how much my truck was. I told him and he laughed saying, you could have got a regular F-150 for 8-10,000 less or one of these cars! I simply looked at his car and said...."Been there....done that!" I responded with the well-practiced "You could have gotten a regular Z28 for 5500$ less and it would probably be faster!" I don't think he realized that there is a big difference between the regular F-150 and the Lightning. The difference between the regular Z28 and the SS is a hood scoop with questionable function, an exhaust with questionable function, a tail, wheels, a few extra bushings. Nothing else.....So....who got the better deal? That's the real question. The guy simply said.."Well...I could dust that truck anytime!" I just said..."whatever". I think he was expecting me to retaliate but I know the real truth about a quality vehicle.

BUSTED!

You see....that is the mentality of some of the folks that drive these cars. I have a lot of friends who drive F-bodies and they aren't all like this. Unfortunately the above situation is harsh reality and occurs more frequently than I care to admit.

Case #2:

I was looking at some auto vent-shades for the truck at a local truck store. I am not putting these things on, I think it may take away from the look because the truck is Red...black, fine because it can be hidden a bit more....but not red. I'll post something on this....
So...3 of the guys working in the shop take a break and are looking at my truck. 2 of them really like it and say "nice truck". The third one in the group says..."it's ok.". Fine...no problem, I respect everyones opinion whether positive or negative. The problem is he starts cutting my truck up saying "ahh....that front end is crooked". I say..."No DUh! So what". Then...this little s#$t proceeds to say "look at those seats...they are no better than the stock F-150!". I am boiling right now. So...I keep as calm as possible and I say "So..what are you driving". He says...."Oh...it's that little blue beauty over there".

Can you guess what it was folks?
was it: A) a Mustang B) a Camaro or C) a Honda CRX.

It was "C". Can you believe that nerve of some people? This guy was driving a CRX. The hatch has rust spots on it. A little piece of crap like that, and he has the ***** to cut up my truck which could probably fit his car into my box. I realize that people have something of a worship for their cars and all, but please, don't cut up others if you haven't got anything of substance. Apparently his car was faster than my truck too. He had nitrous on order, a blower on order....I asked him if he had a tranny and an extra engine on order too. I also asked him how he was paying for all of this with a 7$/hour job. The other two guys laughed. I just said "nice car" and left it at that.

Don't bother with those clowns PB. They aren't worth the energy it takes to fire a neuron to give them a response. Most of the time they don't have a clue or they are just envious that you've got probably 100+ HP on them. I had one guy make a comment about my "lil red wagon" and that he had given up on stuff like that when his ********* descended. I said "You mean when your wife yanked them off and ordered you to drive your eunochmobile minivan." He just got this blank look on his face. Doubt it even sunk in.
