A VERY GOOD DAY AT BANDIMERE SPEEDWAY
Hello to all. Well i've been watching this site for about a month now and decided it was time to post. I purchased my Lightning about 2 months ago and it has been an ongoing ordeal to eek out every ounce of HP that this rareified air in Colorado has to offer. Well Saturday nite at Bandimere Speedway it offered too much. I ran my Lightning in the trophy class consisting of 63 other entrants (consisting of 11 sec to 19 sec cars)and I made it all the way to the finals before the air got too good and I broke out by .004 sec. The Lightning got me runner up honors and a very nice trophy
As far as to the mods I've made. I currently have a 80MM Pro-M meter that has shown now performance increase at the track and will probably come off soon. Sal was right the stock MAF is more than sufficient. I also had a Superchip that also showed no gains, at least not for me under race conditions at the track. As for all of you that have chips that you claim work, great! Like I said it just didn't work for me and believe me when I say I was really hoping for even a small increase in performance it just didn't happen. The only other mods I've made have been to remove my tailgate and install a Pro- Net and remove my tow hitch, all to try and save a little weight and the Pro-Net makes it stand out from the crowd.
Have fun with your lil missles

Heya PFA
My best ever time at Bandimere has been a 14.64 et @ 95.6 mph and that was in 42deg. weather. In 80 deg. weather it'll run just over 15 sec. It seems that these trucks are a little more weather dependant than most of the other bracket cars i've seen run. Considering what you guys around sea level are running with respect to et, I know these times really suck but you make the best of what you have have to work with. Most of the new LS1 vettes and LS1 Camaros run in the 14.6 range all the time up here. The weather dosn't seem to hurt them as badly. My 60' times are right around 2.282 secs and this is leaving just off idle which i've found to give me the most consistent times. I've also tried BFG Comp T/A's but they didn't help my et but they did hurt my mph,so for now there off the truck too. Good luck
