Weird Supercharger Sound????

I was racing my 2000 lightning and after a few passes...I was going down the track and when I hit the gas at full throttle there was a weird machine gun like sound coming from the supercharger. It wasn't giving a solid wine like it normally does. It was spitting and sputtering like a machine gun. Has anyone had this problem before or maybe know what it might be? My only guess is that a gasket might be out, like it's not getting complete compression or pressure and its spitting part of it out. Any information would be a great help. Thanks.

Oh yeah... by the way....I smoked a new 6.0L GTO. Plus I'm completely stock. Those cars suck!! Later.

Myself, and a few others that I know have gotten a coil pack wet when icing down and it run it the same manner as you described. The only other time I have had my truck run like this is when I was getting unmetered air into the intake after the MAF. It would run the same way you describe. Bottom of the intake elbow worked its way off the throttle body. Slid the elbow back on and tightened it down, poor running condition gone when under boost. Just a few ideas, hope you figure it out!

Sounds like you blew the head gasket and the drivers side exhaust manifold gasket ( pretty common problem) ....I did the same thing and it sounded like a machine gun under part boost. When it cooled off the truck sounded OK so it resealed on its own. How does your truck sound today ? Did it clear up ? I bet its OK isnt it.

It takes a decent driver to get good times out of a T-56 at the track. Those cars are definitely not dogs by any means. They are kind of ugly though. Still a good kill.
