Does anyone have any suggestions on CAI. Ive got a 99L and not sure what to go with, heard that Air Force One is good, but I wanted to see what everybody else was running before I get mine. Thanks for the posts!

I would suggest the PSP Fast Air or the JLP Ram Air system. They come with a heat shield and look great. You can find them on the supporting vendor page.

Do a search on the subject and you'll find hours worth of good reading material.

 

Yes, the AF1 would indeed be a good choice! I got one from Chickenears last week in fact! Well pleased with the looks and sound!

either get the jlp with the sealed lid and the fresh air ducting, the psp fast air, or an airraid and add some fresh air ducting with dryer hose or shop-vac hose. basically you want to make sure it is actually a cold air intake, and not just an open filter advertised as a cai.

 

Here's my JLP unit. The boxed design keeps more of the hot engine air off the filter, and a hose pipes cold air up through the bottom of the box.

 

As Rio J advised; do a "search" on here. Lots of good info on here with experiences that go back for years.

Lots of opinions, lot of photos - and find out what guys "say" about the systems they. One of the things you're going to find is that the acronmy "CAI" (cold air intake) as you see applied to many intake systems being marketed - has little or nothing to do nothing to do with "cold air." Also - if money is important to you - you'll find a lot of guys have made their own systems up that are virtually the same as what the vendors sell - at a fraction of the cost.
