Well, it had to happen sometime.
My better half of 39 years indulged me in my purchase of my Lightning and even if she won't drive it and hardly ride in it, she has been pretty cool.
Yesterday, I had the ARE LSII bed cover installed and brought it to the store. How it happened I don't know, but I left the invoice for that and the Bed Rug on the office desk. Some $1100 worth of invoice.
I gather she saw it, because when I asked her if she would like to see the new additions, she smiled and said sure.
As I posted elsewhere, the lid is big, has about a 4" rise over the sides and takes a little bit of getting used to, especially on a white stepside. And especially when viewed from the rear quarters.
In any case, she said "the darn thing looks like Moby ****", a huge white whale.
I'm thinking pinstriping, decals, cammo paint, anything to break up the huge expanse of white.
Any ideas from my friends out there?

Hey Bill, Sal here. If it's any help, at the dealership we get black Navigators, and they are very "tall" looking trucks. They just look like they need a little something to break it up. We have a stripe job done about 4 inches down from the fender and door tops, and it helps break up all that color.

Yep, have six left of the special chassis deals and plenty of the stock ones.

I may have to do the tail to just break up the hump. As I said I saw a stock stepside with one and it was pretty good looking. It was silver, however and I don't know how it would look on a White Lightning.
