It's ready for the final layer of gloss black, think I might leave the pocket a medium grey for contrast.

Did you sell off the old pod and pillar?
Lotek Pillar pod is gonna be sold in the near future. Not sure I want to sell the AutoMeter column pod yet.

I think it would look good with the grey inside, if its a close enough match to the other greys anyhow. Looks good , you're getting better with every part from what I can see.

There's NO more grey on my dash, it's all black now. Which means I will just paint the thing all gloss black.

The key to all these pods is buying Auto Meter angle rings and using plastic weld to position the rings for optimal viewing. The rest is just filling the gaps with bondo and sanding. The plastic weld is almost impossible to break so the part will be very strong for a long period of time if you use plenty for the base. The bondo is just for the top coat to get all the transitions smooth.

Here's a good idea how these projects start.

Tube of Plastic Weld.

Position the angle rings to get optimal viewing.

Now, just keep filling in the gaps with more Plastic Weld till it's all filled.

The rest is just alot of bondo and sanding to get it perfect.
