Nitto 555RIIs vs. Toyo RA-1s

I'm looking for a set of track (road race) tires and am stuck between the Nittos 555RIIs and the Toyo RA-1s. I want a tire with some stick but can't afford to replace them frequently so Hoosiers are out of the picture. On paper, the tires are similar, both 305/35/18s, treadwear 100, temp rating A. But the Nittos have an A traction rating while the Toyos have an AA. Price is a wash. Anyone have any experience with either or have general comments on Nitto or Toyo experiences?

Thanks in advance!

The best way to go is to get some Hoosier scrubs for road racing man. They are cheap and they last a long time. I ran three weekend events on my Hoosier scrubs and they still have tread left.

If you cant find any scrubs then I would for sure go with the Nittos.
