Gauges off
I've noticed when driving hard or racing, that my tach goes beyond 6000 RPM and my boost gauge goes beyond 10 psi. Is this normal?

Mine does too, with the chip. W/o the chip the tach stays above 5400, but the boost gauge pegs every time at WOT. If it's accurate, I must be making 11-12 lbs of boost routinely. If that is the case, I think I can live w/o a pulley. The only way I'll know for sure is to find someone w/a calibrated boost gauge and check it.

NO factory boost gauge in any forced induction application has ever been correct. That's why when you see people doing anything that affects the boost, they also get an aftermarket gauge. Not just for more of a range on the high end of the gauge, but also so that they can have a real idea what boost they are making.
