Very good write-up. (No surprise there!)
This must be the very first test of the 2000 model. And, it must be a 2000 prototype because the production line is not scheduled to produce Job-1 until early December.
I noticed two things: the 0-60 time is 5.4 seconds (good) but the base price has gone up $1,000 (not so good). It would be cool to have the overhead console, but not sure it's worth a grand - unless, of course, the 5.4 0-60 time turns out to be the new base line on the actual production line trucks
.
At any length, a very positive article and just one more that I will add to my Lightning library.

Another link from auto.com has this review:

"Production will be increased from 4,000 to 5,000 as well"
Is this true?

I've seen the 5,000 unit number other places, so that's probably true.
Pretty good article, although the writer stated that the seats are, "sueded leather with dark cloth inserts". I can understand getting the cloth confused with suede (lots of people do), but how did he confuse the perforated black leather inserts with cloth?
