Ok guys, I am turning to you guys, I have heard a couple of various stories. If I strap on a kb, I am going to need to upgrade my cams, valves and possibly rods and rings. Is that correct?

Or can you just strap on the kb and keep the lower's stock and upgrade them at a later point in time?

I understand that the L has a weak lower half, but I wanted to talk to you guys. I am having some work done to it, but if I get the KB, I want to do it the right way, and not half *** something.

prolly just upgrade fuel pumps if you intend on keeping the stock bottom end.

 

Fuel pumps over 500hp..If you stay under 500 just get bigger injectors(60lb) and a Mafia.Bolt it on and get a real good tune.

 

Yea, I am really just thinking about ordering the kb tomorrow and possibly a fuel pump and mafia. Need to talk with the wifey about it.

lol, I was having soo much fun until I actually thought about how much I had actually spent. Roughly about 8k.

My wife doesn't mind if I get the KB, she said she doesn't really care, but I am just not sure if I wanna strap it on, and leave it on the stock bottom half even with stock fuel system. I know I can get away with it, but I wanna go all out if I do go with it, if that makes any sense.

 

Suavy will be at the Dream Cruise and has a Magnum Powers Blower.
I'm sure he'd give you a little spin in it.

It will pin you back in the seat, like NO other!

np! God, I am just so tempted to order my kb tomorrow, but I dont wanna strap on too much and take a chance of blowing the engine!

 

just get it you will love it. just show some self control and keep the boost down and you will be fine.
