just use the breaker bar the leverage you can get with it will be better than most impact guns. i was removing a leaf spring bolt once and the 600 ft/lb impact gun did nothing broke out the breaker bar and a length of pipe for some extra leverage and it turned like it was loose

one thing to consider about the impact tools is that a lot of them are way overrated in their actual power output. i've personally seen a brand new ~250 ft lb wrench put out a real world ~120 ft lbs! ha! get you a good ingersol rand wrench.
