REM Carbon Fiber Intake install pics

Well I got it in. Thanks for all the help in choosing a way to get the hole in the pSP kti a little bigger. I have now mated them and they love each other Took her for a spin and got on her. The blower is definitely louder than the stock boot,l and no SES lights just like REM told me there wouldn't be any.

The final answer to opening to hole up in the PSP box was to buy an angle grinder. hehe I guess I wanted one anyway. Then I used door trim to line teh edge so it won't cut into my precious carbon fiber lol!

On to the pics!

Now all I need is that DG radiator cover. Time to find one online!

Can you use it with the stock airbox?

I thought about it. You'd definitely have to trim the tube down a tad, but it could be done. I didn't want to cut my tube, and already had the PSP kit, so I went this route.

what did you have to do to the PSP box to make the tube fit, soon I plan on upgrading my intake setup to the Fast Air and that same intake tube.

All you need is an angle grinder with a 4" wheel. You need to enlarge the whole about 1/4" to make room. I got some "door molding trim" from Pep Boys and used it to line the inside of the hole. That way it won't get scratched. Looks a lot better than I thought it would, and still have the functional air ducting. What I will warn you is that cleaning the filter will involve undoing the pipe and "forcefully" pulling the filter out. It's a TIGHT squeeze to say the least.
