Post Service Department tomorrow

I will be taking the Red Beast in tomorrow
morning. The beast is experiencing a very disturbing clunking noise when I turn the wheels very sharp. I hope the suspension just needs retorqued. Also I talked the my service advisor about the 2 replacement rims for my truck, he said thet are on backorder in probably will not be in for 6 months. I'm
about ready to call the SVT hotline about this matter.
Also their going to repair a minor scratch and a dull spot in the paint that was there when I purchased the vehicle.

I'm going to have the oil changed and rotate the tires, I have only 2900 miles but I sure want to take care of the rubber.

P.S. That sure was a nice White Lighting that
you have their A-Lighting,I will be on the lookout next time you try to sneek up on me like that. Send me your e-mail address and I will send some digital photos, I have 2 digital cameras, 1 camera cost me 1400.00 dollars the other was 900.00 but they take extremely exceptional photos.

Later,
Terry

asdeman,
You might want the dealership to check the brake caliper bolts on the front end also. Mine were stripped, and that was the major problem, they would bind the caliper when the wheel was turned in one direction all the way.

I took my truck (with 797 miles on it) to my SVT dealer for the same problem this past Monday. They got it back to me the same day.
They said they found a loose Front Upper Control Arm bolt and that the idler arm moved excessively. They tightened the bolt and replaced the idler arm.

To my dissapointment, this DID NOT fix the problem. Worse than that, they somehow managed to catch the bottom of the airdam on something (possibly the lift) and bent and scratched the underside.

Looking forward to see what your dealer does asdeman. Good luck.

re: dealership damage.

I had mine in to have shipping damage repainted. They then managed to crack the foglight in the process. however, the paint looked good.

PS: (Domino is a better handle, IMHO. more unique )

Well I had the same problem that you were describing Whitelite, they had to replace the idler arm due to excessive movement from being loose. I have yet to hear the klunking noise so far but haven't really drove it enough to determine if they repaired it.

They also had to repair a minor scratch on the door and the dull spot. Well they screwed up the repair on the scratch and did a good job on the dull spot so I will be taking it back to get the whole door repainted after I gave the Service manager my regards on the job they did on the door. He gave me his word that he'll do anything to make me happy.

I let you know if I hear anymore clunking noise, I will be leaving for a good 1200
mile trip this coming week.

Later,
Terry 99.5 Red Lighting (SVT Doesn't have a build number yet),ALL factory options, superchipped.
