Dyno #'s for my 01

Well, i didn't hit the elusive 400/500 club like with my old 01, but imo that is only because we did a full dyno pull. My last 01 had 6lb, psp fast air, ftvb on the first dyno, and then lt's on the second

this one has 6lb, psp CAI, ftvb and ported blower. At first i was a lil bummed that i didn't hit the 500 torque, but trying not to be the dyno queen, i really was just trying to compare overall with the ported blower.

on my new 01, the dyno starts at about 2700 compared to 4200 on the old one.

even though i didn't get the 500 ft/lbs on the new truck, if you look at say 4400, the truck is up 20 ft/lbs to the tires. peak horsepower on the old truck was right at 400, but that was with the spike as well, the true peak hp appears to be at 48/4900 rpms of about 380 (without LT's), with the ported blower, my peak is 410@48/4900 rpms as well.

so, even though the dyno doesn't show "500 ft/lbs. i am pretty happy with the blower. even though both are sae corrected, humidity was about 100% yesterday and temp was close to 100 in the shop.

my other dyno's were with my race tune on 98 octane as well. i was definately pleased with my old truck, i'm just trying to comparison what the ported blower did. imo i am figuring about 20 ft/lbs and 30rwhp at least.

not doing the lt's this time, i am doing the off road y pipe, at $300 vs the 1k plus install for the lt's, i think i'll be happy with the sound of the y pipe. after all, i only gained a minimal amount of power across the band with the lt's last time.

so, a shout out to md motorsports who ported the blower and did the install and tune. and of course to sal for supplying me with a great cai and d/s loop and traction bars

heres the dyno's
old truck

new truck

Those numbers look low for a ported blower and a 6lb lower. Who did the porting?

i think the #'s are good considering the weather, and we probably didn't wait more than 6 or 8 minutes between pulls,

can't wait for some better weater

I thought 30rwhp/20rwt was a good expectation for a ported eaton, no other changes.

thats what i'm thinking as well, again, we're comparing 2 different trucks, but i am very familiar with what #'s these should put for their mods, and with the weather yesterday, i don't think it could possibly have been any worse

couldn't hardly breathe in the shop it was so muggy

i was curious too everyones opinions on plugs, sal always recommended the br7's at 6 or more extra psi of boost, md seems to think that tr6's would make at least 10 more hp.

the br7's did such a good job of holding up on my old 01 as far as reliability that it is hard to go to the warmer plug

any opinions?

drivability with the 7's is perfect

Yes I think they are a little low too. I am getting those numbers without a ported blower. My mods are in signature.

Don't worry about numbers Beef, Just worry about how it runs at the track.

nice

sounds good man. Numbers do seem a bit on the lower side, but they are sae correcition too. I'm sure the heat/humidity had something to do with it cause your a/f seems right on, even a little lean above 5k.

Do you have the stock throttle body? I'm wondering how much of a difference a single blade would make on a ported blower with a 6lb lower??

i had the t/b on my old truck as well, forgot about that, don't think it made a ton of diff, throttle respose was better, but for $500 bucks, trying to pick a little smarter this time
