Cooler weather
Good morning all,
I know that all you guys in Michigan and other Northern areas have already experienced the effects of cooler weather but down here in Memphis, it has just started to cool off. This morning it was in the high 40's when I left for work and all I can say is WOW! What a difference 30-40 degrees makes...I think that has made more difference than the Superchip.
I knew the temp. would make a difference having had turbo cars before but this difference is huge...hope to go to track this Thursday.
I have been running my Superchip in the stock setting because it has a little too much timing dialed in at WOT. It is pinging pretty bad...I have a return auth. from Superchip but just haven't had a chance to take it off and send back. I can only imagine the difference with cool weather and Superchip.

i was the one who was told the chip didnt change the trans.wrong!mike called me to tell me the tech dept and rob at superchip had a minor miss communication.it does change the second to third shift but they still say 1 to 2 hasnt been changed.anyway, its a great chip and still the best people i,ve dealt with.
I got my SuperChip back a few days ago and the ping problem is history. The power I'm making now with it and Sal's filter setup is impressive.
I also requested that they firm up the shifts more than the original program and they apparently did so. I can now chirp the 1-2 shift w/no trouble at all. At WOT, the 1-2 is fairly stiff but the 2-3 is still a little sloppy. Better, but not as stiff as it could be.
I had read in this forum that SuperChip hadn't done any tranny management, but when I talked to the engineer/programmer who actually wrote the code, he indicated that they did change some parameters and it does make a real difference in the shifts. I can attest to that, I hurt my back the first time I went WOT from a standing start and hit the 1-2, had to take it easy for a couple of days after that.
