I think we all want to know if we got a good deal on our lightnings or not. Or if someone just has a really good story about how they got such a good deal or ripped-off. I will tell you how much I payed for mine but all you guys can't tell anyone. I think I got a good deal. I found someone that would give me an A-plan. I had to go to MI but I found it. I payed $25,316.50.

Hey Lightning chick, What dealer in Michigan did you get your truck from? Sounds to me like you got a real good deal!!! I'm looking to get a 2000 (if I can wait that long)LOL!
I live in Dayton, OH. I would drive to Mich. If there Dealing! I met a couple Who own a Syclone & Typhoon that live in Dayton, Maybe that was you?

Like most, I paid MSRP ($5K more than you). Moderating that price, however, is the happy fact that I was able to get more for my '91 Syclone (in a private sale) than I paid my neighbor for it over 6 years ago. Just hope the Lightning can approach that kind of retained value.

Do you have to be a Ford employee in order to qualify for FMC Plan A prices?

Alot of my family work for Ford at a Ford plant in MI for a very long time. The guy I got the Lightning from had to pull alot of strings and he got in trouble for it too. I think that will be the last one he ever does on an A-plan.

 

I work at Ford, and my dealer was more than happy to give me A-plan, and also $600 worth of rebates on my Lightning.
