Well, I took everyone's advise and bought a red 99.5 today. I LOVE IT !!! From looking at the window sticker, it was built on 8-13-99. I am so excited I almost forget to tell you which options it has. It has the CD Changer, and Hitch. I am still in shock over this truck!!

 

GMC350 - Congratulations on the new addition to your family (great color too!). You may want to consider changing your username - somehow it just doesn't seem to fit. Let's see now - a new Lightning owner named GMC350. Hmmm...

August 13th was a Friday!!! Ooohhh, that's scary!!!

 

Don't worry about the friday/13th thing, first its superstition. Second, if its the date on the window sticker it just means that the date the computer kicked the order out, not necessarily made on that day.Example: Mine says 4-29-99 on the sticker whereas mine was actually born on 5-6-99.

4D THNDR, I got it for 450.00 under sticker. Not bad considering that was the last 99 they were getting. Also, I think mine has the piston slap as well. I have a bad feeling about it. Oh well, I am still enjoying the hell out of it !!!! And my insurance only went up 15 dollars every six months !!!
