okay, next question, since it really doesn't explain anything in the directions, i am assuming you take the smaller of the 2 plugs with the holes in them, and then put the little thing that screws into it, in it, and then pull the allen plug and screw that in

That is correct. If I remember correctly, you use the largest adapter that comes with the sender and screw the sensor into it.......it has to be put in with a 11/16ths deep socket so that should help you figure out which adapter to use. Just make sure you are ready to go with the sensor when you remove that plug or you'll be drenched in anti-freeze. If you're fast you'll only lose a few ounces. Hope that helps. I'm assuming you are installing an electric gauge.
