Thumbs up Lightning Tranny (hey PFA)

Hey PFA, Sal here. I checked that part number you gave me for the 99 Lightning tranny that was put in your truck, and it is correct.....

Thanks Sal for the response. At least I know it should be the correct one.

Hey Sal,
Do you think the upgrade shift solenoid pack by level 10 will make a difference in my truck. By the way, If you remember my shifting question, the problem was the valvebody. The guy who rebuilt overtightened it. I put it at 80 inch pounds and it works great.

Question

Hey Joe Mama, Sal here. What kind of difference are you looking for? I can pretty much do anything with my chip that any "mechanical" trans upgrade (except a convertor replacement)can offer and it will be much easier to install and is safer for the tranny.

Sal,
I did'nt know you had chips for the 95's. Will the chip work with my set-up? I have the Pro-M mass air conversion which I'm sure you know that two different computers are running the truck. One for the engine and one for the trans. All I am looking for is a substancial increase in line pressure and a little bit different shift points.

Hey Joe, Sal here. With the Pro-M set up, I can't do a chip for the Mustang computer because all I do is Lightning tuning and don't have the software for that ECU. But I can do a chip for your stock Lightning PCM which still controls the tranny, and that's what you are looking for anyway. One of the main problems with the Pro-M mass air is the poor communication between the two computers that usually results in poor tranny operation. That's why I developed the mass air conversion I sell for the early trucks. But since you already have the Pro-M, I can do the chip for the tranny stuff on yours. You should check out my web site below.
