Anyone interested in taking their Lightning to the Ford Drag Days at Union Grove, Wisconsin (between Chicago and Milwaukee) on September the 19th? One of the gearhead salesmen at my SVT dealership is trying to talk the 7 of us that got Lightnings from the dealership into attending. I don't yet know how many of these 7 will show up, but I plan to attend.
I'll get more details if anyone is interested.

Would love to attend but we're having our get-together @ Milan Dragway (Mich.) on Sept. 18th. Have been to Milwaukee twice this summer - once for a WOO race and then for the state fair. I was raised in upper Wisconsin, moved to a suburb of Milwaukee at 11, and eventually raced at Union Grove before entering the service. Damn, that brings back some pleasant memories. Great Lakes Dragway @ Union Grove is about 3 miles west of the 94 Expressway on county road KR near Kenosha. I might try to get down to Route 66 either tonight or next Wednesday to get in a few practic runs.
