that really sucks......losing someone you care about is a motha****a...

I had cancer several years ago and fought for my life to survive......I'll never understand what possess people to do the things they do........to give up is not my nature....unfortunately, Vinnie was not so lucky in that respect.

RIP brother Vinnie...

my step mother just passed this week.....I'm in NC for the service now. This week is turning out to be one I don't care to remember.

I know what his buddies are going through, it's not easy to lose a friend that way or anyway for that matter. I have lost 2 friends in my life from suicide, when i was in High School my good buddy that lived next door did the same thing. And then last year another friend that i knew for years left behind a wife and four young kids. No matter what, you can think about it over and over. But you will never know what drove them to the point where they thought that ending there life was the only way left for them. You can be friends with someone all your life, and you can think that you know everything there is to know about that person. But in all reality, no one knows what's going on in someone else's mind. My prayers go out to his mother and family and all his friends. 'RIP' Fellow Lightning bro'.

I just think now is the time to remember a lost friend, son, brother, etc... Not the appropriate time or place to discuss that issue...

I feel for his friends and family...

If you read his personal web page, you will see he lost his father with in the last year and I can not imagine what that does to a young man...

I am deeply saddened to hear this news.
I didn't know Vinnie personally but I felt like I did due to his being one of the local "L" enthusiasts.

MISTERgadget...
I remember discussing Vinnies truck with you the last time we got together.
I lost a good friend the same way about 40 years ago. I feel your special pain.
RIP Vinnie

I feel bad for the people whom he left behind.. it looks like he meant alot to so many of you. Its a tough thing to deal with and leaves many more questions in its wake than it does answers. I can only hope he finds the peace in death that he could not find in life. May the lord have mercy on him.

god be with all of you.

I didnt know Vinnie but I do feel bad for him and his family. I have seen quite a few suicides in my line of work and its never a good thing. You dont know what the person was feeling at the time so you cannot judge them. Often people who resort to this are desperatley seeking help and are suffering from severe depression. In Vinnies case the loss of his father I would assume. Even the closest of friends and family never see the warning signs until it is too late which is unfortunate, especially for someone so young.
My thoughts go out to his remaining family and the battle of emotion that they will encounter while attempting to deal with this tragedy.

Dirtchicken - You are very much entitled to your opinion and to feel however you want to but this is hardly the right time and place to express it. Sometimes not saying anything is the best thing!

Sorry to hear about this, while I don't know the circumstances of what happened nobody on hear has the right to judge him for what he did, nobody knows what he was going through. I have been battling cancer for a couple months now, I'm only 23, It sucks, and while I would never take my own life I can almost understand why someone would.
