I have only installed it - not ran it. It was my first time installing a nitrous kit and I found it pretty easy. Routing the line from the bed to the engine bay was the most time consuming. Denny includes everything for tapping the fuel.

I have tested and compared the Racetested kit and highly reccomend it over my previous NX system.

I will be making a full write up and review of my experience and posting it here as well as nloc, with pictures and details.

My problem with their site is I want to have bundles. Yes there is a bundle which has a bottle and tubes, but then there are all kinds of controllers. Does that mean the basic bundle is crap? I don't know because the site gives like no info. I have seen him post lots on the boards so I know he knows all about the stuff, but he should put more info on the site. I wouldn't buy anything on there because nothing is explaining to me why I need to buy this controler or the other controler or none at all. I know some people may say "give him a call" but the point of a website is to give the customer all they need to make a decision. If I cant get that, I go elsewhere. I dont get why some vendors dont list all their inventory either. Thats another discussion though The racetested system is supposed to be very nice and it is kinda different than anything out there so I'd try it just for that if I was a nitrous person.

Awesome Kit, (3 thumbs up)
IMO thee Best Nitrous System in the World, BTW I've been spraying since 1979; numerous Cars, a Motorcycle, and my L since winter 02. This set up is by far better than anything I've used in the past.

I'm confused ???
The RT site is one of the most user friendly sites I've ever seen.
Front page gives you a quick run down on the Design, Distribution, Delivery, Pricing, etc

You click on the first catogory "Nitrous Kits"
and you go to the kits
You click on Ford EFI (thats the 150i Kit we all use)
and it gives you a Picture and complete break down of everything you get.
and yes mentions a progressive unit is recommended for optimal traction, acceleration, and smoother power delivery.
NOT NEEDED, just recommended.

Mr Gadget doesn't have one and as you hear is very happy with the early results already.

Basically it gives us options we never had before, in the past once you armed a system and went WOT, you were getting 100% of it "BAM" all at once. With the Digital Controllers, (I started with the Mini-Max, and upgraded to the Maximiser) you can do things like put 100 HP jets in, delay the system for say 1.5 seconds (so you can launch and dig in a sec before lift off, hehehe) and then decide on the start power of the run, and the final power of the run (only if you want), and then even shut the complete system down
at a certain point of the run (if desired)

A perfect example would be, when I ran it on the stock block,
I would put 100 HP jets in, delay the system 1.5 sec's so I could dig in, then hit it with 75HP and let it progress (pulse) itself up to final power of 100 HP in the next 8 seconds. But then I would shut the system down at 10 sec's in the run. (if it's going to blow, it's going to be at that point of the run) he he he ....

Another example on the new motor is, I will delay it @ the same 1.5 sec's, dig in, then hit it hard with say 75-100 HP, but then back down power as I go down the track.

All of these options are adjustable up and down and anywhere you could possibly want it, OR you dont have to use them at all. Once the system is set, it's set forever (unless you want to change it), and you can store numerous diff set ups and pick whichever whenever your heart desires.....

The 150i is 100% as shown and you need nothing else to buy
if later you step up to a lot of HP, IMO that would be 100 or more you can easily add one of his controllers.

Here is my step by step install from start to finish
There is a Pic and explanation on all and anything you could possibaly want.
(it was my original install so it's diff vs my look now)

I'm as confused as Rob? Are you talking about our site? No info? I was speaking to Trev in the U.K. and felt we have to much information and no one is going to sit down and read it all. Every product has detailed descriptions, our TECH section is filled with information, and we have the most active nitrous forum on the web.

As far as what you need, I don't tell customers what they want. All the features of the progressives are listed in detail. It's up to the owner on what they feel is useful for their needs. If certain features are unclear then we will be happy to explain them via phone, e-mail, or our forum.

I'll just shoot an email to Racetested since it would be just my opinion and I'm clearly stupid because I don't get it.

It's very pleasing to see so many of my American customers posting positive comments about my products - many thanks for that.

Cattie,

It's very difficult to supply information in such a manner that it will appeal to all people. We constantly strive to keep information simple yet effective and we are willing to expand in great detail about any matters that a person wants more information on. Our products are so flexible that it would confuse customers even more if we listed all the possible permutation we can offer, so we stick to the basics so most people can get a handle on that and then we'll expand on it when requested.

I'm sure once you've had a one on one with Denny, he'll have cleared up any issues you had before.

Regards

Trev The WIZARD of NOS
